Respect the indie store.

We'd like to think that we take good care of you. We remember names (some of them, anyway...but really, we try), we special order, we care about what you want. You can't get that kind of service at the big box retailers, and we hope you come back because of this. Reading this story made us a little sad, but also a little happy because we truly feel like we're doing everything we can every day to be YOUR store. Check it out:

Minding the Store: Is there a future for music retail?

Please, let us know if there's anything more we can do to make Decatur CD your music destination. We plan to be in this for the long haul, for better or for worse. And thanks, as usual, for your business...

Death to BestBuy. Glad you guys are still around. How about more in store performances with free beer! I am more inclined to buy a bunch cd's from you when I am slightly intoxicated.

We hear that! Stay tuned, because we'll have a party coming in early May. There will be free beer and more. See you then...

The Tower on Broadway near Bleecker was a fun place to hang out. The guys in the Jazz section knew their stuff as did most of the customers. I saw Herbie Hancock and Branford Marsalis shopping there.
