New. Release. Tuesday.

Actress Scarlett Johansson's debut album of Tom Waits covers (see above) comes out tomorrow, and it's playing right now as we hunt 'n' peck our way through this new release post. What an interesting album, too. Produced by David Sitek of TV on the Radio (Who, on a parenthetical aside, isn't just the member of that awesome band. He's also produced Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Celebration, Foals, Liars, Massive Attack and others.), Anywhere I Lay My Head finds the young Johansson covering many Waits classics ("I Don't Wanna Grow Up," "Who are You" and the title track, for starters) and adding one original to the mix.

Meanwhile, there are all sorts of other new albums coming out tomorrow that weren't made by Hollywood starlets. Indie darlings, grizzled rock vets, jazz musicians, hip-hop mainstays...the list is awfully diverse this week. We encourage you to take a perusal of it below, and stop by at your convenience. We won't take up more of your time rambling here, but will happily chat to you further about new stuff then:
