Atlanta Magazine Spotlights Decatur CD

Recently, the good folks at Atlanta magazine stopped by and chatted with DCD fearless leader (pictured above), Warren, about the state of the music industry. Some of the story below is dire, but some of it is also hopeful. At the end of the day, and the end of the article especially, it's an argument for why indie record stores need to exist in this busy day and age. Enjoy:

The Dutchess and The Duke: Live at DCD on 12/16!

Ladies and gentlemen, we are very proud to announce that Seattle rock duo The Dutchess and The Duke will be performing live at Decatur CD on Wednesday, December 16th. Not ones to mince words, we love this band, people. Their 2008 release, She's the Dutchess, He's the Duke, received some seriously heavy rotation around these parts, and now they have a new and also-excellent record called Sunset/Sunrise. Have a listen to it here or stop by the store and check it out on the listening station. They'll be playing at The EARL later in the evening with Greg Ashley and Cotton Jones, and they'll play at the store around 5 p.m. or so. We'll firm up that time and announce some other special goodies at the time grows near. In the meantime, save the date!
