Peter Case & Chatham County Line In-Stores!

Very pleased to announce these two events. If you got our latest DCD Newsletter recently, you probably noticed we had a typo on the dates. Oopies! They're corrected below. Don't miss these performances, folks!

We're happy to reveal we've got two excellent Yep Roc recording artists coming to the store soon, Peter Case and Chatham County Line.

You may remember that Peter played Decatur CD three years ago during the book festival. Well, the former Nerve/Plimsoul is coming back and he's armed with an excellent new album called Wig! (read our pal Kevin's review of it on the Atlanta Music Guide), which you can hear right now on a listening station here at the store. On Friday, July 16 at 6 p.m., Peter will bring tunes both new and old to Decatur CD. As you may have heard, Peter's had some medical difficulties lately, so we'll be contributing a portion of the night's proceeds to his bills. Much like we've done in the past, there will be a donation bucket near the beer, so please give liberally. Morever, you should also go see him at Eddie's Attic later on that night after the in-store.

On Saturday, July 24, Chatham County Line will play the store. Much like Case, we have the band's new album, Wildwood, available now for your aural pleasure on a listening station here at the store. (It comes out July 13, by the way.) These folks make new-bluegrass of the highest order and we can't wait to have them here. They'll also play Eddie's later that night.

The time on the Chatham County Line in-store is still TBA, but rest assured we'll let you know before it gets too close.
