R.E.M., Mastodon, Iron & Wine and Wanda Jackson walk into a bar...

Our wall just got a face lift! Young Eliot shuffled our outside 5X5 covers around, adding in new ones for R.E.M., Mastodon's live album, Iron & Wine and Wanda Jackson. Not a bad lineup, if we do say so ourselves. Don't ask us where the mysterious fog in these photos came from, though. It's wonderful outside!

New. Release. Tuesday.

A big week, this. It's a nice problem to have, not knowing which album cover to spotlight up top. But seeing as we're Georgia-local, and we like to go out of our way to spotlight other excellent Georgian institutions, we had to put Drive-By Truckers in the, ahem, driver's seat. But they have a particularly stunning group of releases backing them up this week. Take a look...

Drive-By Truckers
PJ Harvey
Bright Eyes
Mogwai
Sonic Youth (French film soundtrack)
Cowboy Junkies
Telekinesis
Yuck
Twilight Singers
Asobi Seksu
Sera
The Dears
Hayes Carll
East River Pipe
Tristen
Dom
...and more, believe it or not!

Alejandro Escovedo Videos

Some good folks who were in attendance on Monday posted portions of the Alejandro Escovedo in-store to YouTube, so if you weren't there, here's a chance to see what you missed! And if you were there, you can relive the magic at your leisure. Now, because Blogger and YouTube don't exactly get along, you may want to visit the channels of usernames gboutilier and WestTexas1119 to see better-quality versions of the clips. For now, we've embedded a couple of the best below:
