What's the best show you've seen lately?

It's a question we often like to ask folks that come to the store, so why not extend the invitation to our online friends? We'll go first. Warren says "Mikal Cronin at The EARL," Eliot says "Zero Boys at The EARL," and Austin says "Kylesa at The EARL." Clearly, we've been seeing a lot of rock music at The EARL. What have you enjoyed recently?

Great Cause, Great Music: June 14-16 at The Attic

From June 14-16, Poverty is Real and the Decatur Cooperative Ministry will be holding a weekend-long event at The Attic to raise money to alleviate homelesness in Decatur and DeKalb County. Caroline Herring and Bobby Bare, Jr. will perform, and several acts will do mini-sets of Bob Dylan's catalog.

Founded in June 2011, Poverty is Real is a Decatur-based nonprofit that's raised tens of thousands of dollars to fight homelessness with the help of R.E.M., Widespread Panic, Patterson Hood, the Futurebirds, and many more. They're doing great work, and we think you should give them your generous support.

For show times, prices, and more information, visit The Attic website.
